agademy.in team approached Agricultural officers appointed in 2019 to share their interview experiences of TNPSC AO exam. We approached them with the following questionnaire

Basic knowledge about our district with practical knowledge but we should have well developed knowledge in our subject as well as should have to tackle the problem solving capacity.

For girls – cotton sarees or chudithars with light colour which should not be so  many embroidery in it.

I never studied any book and not attended any classes too.

District history, temples,  important personalities.

 They noticed how we managed difficult questions and just expected us to try something to Answer.

Studying the contents along with practicing the way to answer will be helpful.. ( answering to our friends even will be a better practice).

Yes,  Attended 3 mocks.

Have good practice.. So u will have no fear on the interview day and be cool on the particular day.

Boldness,Clarity in speech,

Confidence,Practical knowledge and good understanding of the department.

Be clear in your answer and don’t try to make up things,Talk confidently with a smiling face,dont get stressed interview will be so cool and longs up to just 15-20 mins,rehearse many times infront of a mirror or with your friends.Body languages are important.

Not revealed, I am from farming community. Previously I was in canara bank.

Only from agriculture generally they asked like sugarcane byproducts, groundnut yield, enriched FYM, agroclimatic zones of Tamilnadu, high rainfall area in tamilnadu, difference btw edible and millable sugarcane.

3. What was the expectation of interview board according to you?

Like one word questions only they asked. Tested what kind of knowledge I have in agriculture. Only 10 minutes they taken to interview me.

Based on mood of the panel members questions will vary. So be prepare for all kind of questions. Read agriculture thoroughly and also general knowledge questions.
